May 6, 2008

KISS bassist/vocalist Gene Simmons' web site has been updated with the following message:

"Are you a 'Gene Simmons Family Jewels' [Gene's reality TV series] fan? Do you want to appear in an episode? Well, if your answer to both of these questions is 'yes,' we want to meet you! Come on down to the Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica, bring all your friends and get ready to relive some of your favorite 'Family Jewels' memories. Producers will be standing by at 3rd street and Broadway (on the Promenade across from Santa Monica Place) on May 9 and we want you to tell our cameras about your all-time most unforgettable 'Family Jewels' moments. All you need to do is show up by 1:30 p.m. sharp, get ready to have some fun and you could find yourself on TV, starring in one of your favorite shows! If you cant make it at 1:30 p.m., come to Santa Monica Blvd. and Ocean Avenue [between] 3:30 [and] 5:00 p.m. and we can meet you there!"

The third season of "Gene Simmons Family Jewels" premiered in March on the A&E network. According to Reality TV World, third-season episodes include fans finding out if the 4,800 women Simmons claims to have slept with all occurred before his relationship with Shannon Tweed began in 1983; a Gene Simmons Roast in which he gets verbally assaulted by friends and comedians; the first-ever KISS concert where the band performs as a trio; a behind-the-scenes look at Simmons' role on NBC's "The Celebrity Apprentice" before he was fired by Donald Trump; and various family trips to both Hawaii and Mexico.
